I can agree with you on that one but, now everyone tries to sell a course/guide on how to become a dropshipper. They just wanna profit from unknowing people looking for a quick buck by making claims like that that it is easy, that you will have guaranteed results and other stuff.
They tend to show their revenue without deducting what goes to them. They may show like $50000 but, they keep like 10% of that or so which, would be about $5000 but considering that there are fees, taxes you have to pay to the state, prices for running ads, paying for domains, proper hosting or a subscription to Shopify, and other stuff, profits are going to be much lower.
I still don't consider it a profitable/good thing to do anymore if you're new. The established dropshippers still have it good.
It would be good if you already have an established company or if you're a public figure (e.g. a YouTuber); that would help you sell stuff more efficiently.
