Europol announced the dismantling of the Manson Market and the arrest of two of its leaders. During a joint operation involving law enforcement from 6 countries, more than 50 servers used by the marketplace, as well as associated fake online stores involved in phishing campaigns, were seized. The special operation marked the final stage of an investigation that began in the fall of 2022. At that time, police in several countries started receiving reports from individuals who had fallen victim to fraudsters. In all cases, victims received calls from individuals claiming to be bank employees, who extracted confidential information about their accounts.
As a result, the stolen data was traced back to Manson Market, where it was being sold. Consequently, 57 individuals lost over 250,000 euros and approximately 63,000 records were sold on the platform. The arrests of the suspects and the seizure of infrastructure occurred simultaneously in Germany, Austria, Finland, Netherlands and Norway. Thanks to the searches, authorities gained access to 200 terabytes of valuable information. It's known that one of the detained founders of the resource is 27 years old, while the other is 37. Both have been placed under arrest.
